How to assemble Laser Engraver
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaer7FVuQho STEP 1
Gantry Assembly & Structural Alignment
Unbox the structural industrial aluminum linear guide rails. Align the structural frame
components to form a precise rectangular footprint. Use the included metric M5 hex keys to
secure the interlocking perimeter plates. Ensure all four corner vertices form a true 90-degree
orthogonal reference point before applying torque. Loose joints cause frame flex, which
manifests as structural distortion in your final output vectors.
STEP 2
Drive Belt Calibration
Slide the pre-assembled X-axis carriage crossbar smoothly onto the Y-axis parallel tracks. Guide
the rubber timing drive belts over the motor-driven cogs and adjustable tensioner idlers. Pull
each belt taut with moderate force until no residual sag or backlash exists, then clamp the
locknuts down tightly. A properly calibrated belt should emit a low-frequency dull thrum when
plucked lightly, similar to an acoustic guitar string.
STEP 3
Mounting the 12W Diode Module
Carefully insert the square aluminum housing of the 12W optical laser module down into the
integrated sliding vertical dovetail mount located directly on the X-axis carriage assembly.
Tighten the side-mounted knurled primary thumbscrew securely by hand. Connect the multi-pin
electronic ribbon wire harness directly into the control terminal situated on top of the diode
array block, ensuring the lock-tabs click tightly into position.
STEP 4
Surface Shielding Installation
Place the completed mechanical frame assembly on a perfectly flat, level, non-flammable work
table in an area with good cross-ventilation. Slide an industrial aluminum honeycomb structural
grid panel or a solid sacrificial metal plate directly beneath the operational travel window of the
laser head. At full power output, the 12W energy beam will cleanly penetrate target craft
substrates and instantly burn structural damage into any unprotected workbench surface below
